Biplav-led group’s four cadres held

Doti, The District Police Office, Achham has arrested four leaders and cadres of the Netra Bikram Chand (Biplav)-led group. The police arrested the Biplav-led group members when the latter opened fire at a security patrol team in Jhata village of Ramaroshan rural municipality of the district, said Janak Bahadur Shahi, Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) of District Police Office, Achham. Dhading, Police confiscated 164 kilograms of hashish while undertaking security screening along the Prithvi Highway. Nawaraj Dhungel, Inspector of Area Police Office, Gajuri, informed the huge cache of contraband was seized this morning while being taken to India in a truck (UP19T5171) bearing Indian number plate. Rupandehi, Two persons died in separate accidents in Rupandehi in course of celebrating holi festival on Thursday. Dilip Thapa, 26, of Mainamaina municipality-8 died when the motorcycle (Lu 25 Pa 6809) Thapa was riding over turned due to over speeding at Kanchan rural municipality-1, said Chief at District Police Office, Rupandehi, Hridaya Thapa. Dilip was returning home after celebrating holi.
